The purpose of this blog is to keep my friends and family informed about my incarceral journey: to honestly reflect on my thoughts, feelings, and reactions to the realities of being and unjustly convicted offender within the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
This blog is reverently dedicated to the truth and to honor God, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to my constant companion and advocate, the Holy Spirit.
It is also gratefully dedicated to my Dad and Mother for the consistent love, support, and unwavering belief in my innocence from the first hint of trouble when a warrant was served on April 27, 2010.
It is also humbly dedicated to my former spouse, whose life was also upturned by the lies of Myrtha Mikel's, Bella Mendoza, and of our son.
It is especially and thankfully dedicated to Mark Blue, who, like my parents, has never wavered in his belief in me and for his continued support and brotherly affection; and to his wife, Kristi, whom though I have only known from behind these fences shares those similar sentiments and is a true sister in Christ.
It is lovingly dedicated to my daughter, Monica, in the hope that one day she will know the truth and be inspired to read the trial transcripts and know without a doubt that her father is innocent, loves her dearly, and has missed her every day he has been locked away from her. Only through God's great grace and the Manasseh & Ephraim blessing have I endured our separation.
It is dedicated with prayerful hope and expectation to my prodigal Absolom\Kylo, Brandon, in the hope that as he ages that he will grow closer to Jesus and that his relationship with Christ will encourage him to expose his lies and reveal the truth...…and that that truth will set us both free.
I also created these reflections to honor my
spiritual family at Park Plaza who have helped me over the past 2½ year while I
was out on bond awaiting trial: Mitch Wilburn, Ryan & Stephanie Pope and
the Celebrate Recovery team, Jeff & Jenny Riddle for allowing me to join
their video/sound ministry, Marvin Phillips, the anonymous benefactor whose generosity
allowed stability in our family budget at a critical time of need, and to Cecil
Kusler and Larry Layman who allowed me to find self worth and dignity through
consistent hard days work and a continual paycheck. I also want to thank and
honor all of those who supported my daughter through her high school youth
events and paved a way for her to attend and thrive at OC - God Bless you!
It is gratefully dedicated to those close family and friends who continue to stay in contact with me, encourage me, send letters and cards of inspiration, and on occasion have blessed my books and remembered me on those really, really hard days (Thanksgiving, my Birthday, Christmas, and Father's Day): My parents, Mark and Kristi Blue, Dorothy Layman, Joyce Blackwell, Marvin Phillips, Lori Russell (that birthday basket in 2012 really touched me), and many Park brothers and sisters.
Finally, it is dedicated to those whom I have met along this sojourn inside these fences who have blessed me, educated me, saved me, defended me, and whom may be angels in disguise: JW, DW, SR, RJH, JR, MET, SK, DPW, RS, DD, JE, RF, DSW, GH, and to all of those at JCCC who participated in the Addicts at the Cross Monday night recovery meetings for those seven years who openly shared their struggles with me and allowed me to confidentially share my emotions and feelings with them. God bless you.
